The Education Program includes the following areas to help our members grow in thier academic and artistic ability and interest.
Computer Lab—The computer lab boasts 11 internet-accessible Gateway computers. Members wanting to surf the internet must complete the National NetSmartz program in order to learn internet safety. There are educational computer programs and games that members can use while in the lab. It is open everyday, after school until 6:00 p.m.
Library—Thanks to donations and book drives, our library has over 1,000 books! Members may check them out or read them in the quietest room in our facility! The library also plays host to other activities and clubs, such as Legos and Chess.
Classroom—The classroom is one of our busiest rooms. After school, members can participate in Power Hour, our homework assistance program, where they can complete their school work or a worksheet. During vacations and breaks, members may play games like Bingo and Pictionary, do paper and jigsaw puzzles, color, and more.
Arts & Crafts Room—In the Arts & Crafts
room our members may participate in various activities in which they can
express themselves or just
simply have fun. Some of their favorite crafts include finger painting, jewelry
making, and animal-related projects.
